Sealions, seals, whales, and various species of seabirds are some of the beautiful inhabitants of this peninsula and invites the nature lover to come for a visit in one of South America´s most intersting nature reserves.

This park has a surface of 3,600km and 400km of coastline, and is the biggest peninsula of Argentina. The warmer waters of the Golfo Nuevo, Golfo San José and the coast at Caleta Valdés from Punta Norte to Punta Hércules are breeding grounds from June to mid December.

In the centre of the peninsula in Argentina, the lowest point of the contintent is situated, Laguna Chica and Laguna Grande (42m under sea level). The village is called Puerto Pirámides. The best time to see seals is from November to March. Between July and December it is possible to spot whales. In a diving excursion, one will encounter plenty of submarine flora and fauna.
