The Pampa is a province situated in the centre of Argentina. The capital is called Santa Rosa.

The Pampa plains cover the majority of the province are very dry and the climate is a moderate one. Also found in this province are mountain chains of the Sierra del Nevado (up to 1200 m) and the Sierra Lihuel Calel. La Pampa has hardly any settlement except for in the east where a few small towns lie, whilst the west has almost no inhabitants at all.

Of regional importance is the National Park Lihué Calel that hold interesting tourist spots like the wild pumas, which reside in the quite surreal stone deserts. Also existing here is the so called farming tourism (accommodation in Estancias), whereas the province sees itself as traditional "Gaucho Land".
